COVID-19 Loan To Support Private Landlords Now Open For Applications

It’s been a tough period for private landlords with legislative changes over the past few years and the current COVID-19 pandemic causing rental recovery issues.

For the registered private landlord with 5 or fewer residential rental properties, the PRS Landlord (non-business) COVID-19 loan is now open for applications.  This interest free loan will provide short-term support for lost rental income from a single property.

The Scottish Government, in partnership with Scottish Association of Landlords, Council of Letting Agents and Propertymark, published general guidance on the main questions of concern with the fourth question guiding you to the PRS Landlord (non-business) COVID-19 loan application form. You can read the publication in full, including more information on the loan, here.

For the larger landlords, there may be other forms of support. Contact our EQ Property Taxperts who should be able to direct you towards the appropriate funding.
