Helping To Support Over 1,000 Residential Landlords

For most people and businesses, a property will be the biggest single asset held. Whether it’s a residential or commercial property, if you receive income from letting a property you need to ensure that it is properly protected, financed and owned by the correct party. With a mass of reliefs attaching to property but an equal or greater number of pitfalls, it pays to seek great financial advice and professional expertise.

In recent years, the taxation of property, particularly residential property, has radically changed, and we’ve seen a huge increase in the number of landlords who have come to us for advice on how to deal with the changes to legislation. Our Property Taxperts now act for over 1,000 landlords, as well as dozens of property investment companies and furnished holiday lets.

Our Partner and Head of Taxation, David Morrison, commented;

“From acting for around 700 landlords 5 years ago, we’ve experienced unprecedented demand for our advisory services, resulting in over 1,000 landlord clients today.  In matters of property, nothing is simple, and only personalised, strategic advice is of use to property owners”.

Our team are once again attending Scottish Association of Landlords annual event, Scottish Letting Day at Dynamic Earth on Tuesday 12th November. Along with exhibiting at the event, David Morrison, our Head of Tax, will be speaking at the event, addressing attendees on his views of the future of property taxation in the UK.

If you are attending, make sure you speak to our Property Taxperts who will be on hand to help you navigate through past and upcoming legislation changes to ensure the best outcome for you.
