Our EQ Taxperts recently completed a Research & Development (R&D) claim for a food & drink client based in the East of Scotland, resulting in a client saving of £86,760!
Our client is a well-established family run butchers and bakers based in Fife. The company produces food for sale in their own shops, and to supply to retailers.
It is the company’s ambition to maintain the quality of its traditionally handmade products whilst being able to produce larger quantities, with longer shelf-lives and within the tighter parameters that selling direct to retailers demands. Work was undertaken to develop new products and processes. In doing so the flavour profile, quality, cost and shelf life of the products all had to be considered.
