Research & Development Claim Settled!

Our Taxperts recently completed two Research & Development (R&D) claims for an architect client based in the North of Scotland, resulting in a client saving of £50,145!

Our client is a firm of naval architects specialising in high level ship and other floating vessel design, for use in typically hostile weather conditions.

During the year of claim, the company was involved in several qualifying projects, including the design work in determining the feasibility of converting vessels for different use as oil companies particularly seek significant cost savings in a difficult market.  The company has also designed offshore wind farm support vessels and well as high level design specification for decommissioning vessels.

The company is a market leader in alternative use vessels but these require much design and redesign to ensure that they have longevity and are fit for purpose.

R&D tax credits provide a valuable cash flow injection for eligible companies. They then have the enviable problem of how to reinvest it for the benefit of the company.

We have completed over 300 claims and saved over £16 million for our clients, through a proactive approach in identifying and completing relevant claims. We can assess your eligibility then prepare a claim for you, if relevant. Your involvement need not take more than three or four hours and the benefits can be huge.

If you would like to discuss your own circumstances or require support, please email our Taxperts or for more information, visit our R&D page.
