Experience – Cheryl has been with EQ since 2002 and is responsible for the training of junior staff on Personal, Partnership & Trust taxation, the preparation of tax returns, use of our software and our firm’s Best Practice.  Cheryl has a wide-ranging client portfolio and assists clients across various business sectors with tax planning, small business and individual tax compliance.

Areas of taxpertise – Cheryl’s background is predominantly in Personal Taxation and as Team Leader of the International Tax – For Individuals and Deputy Leader of the Private Client Team, Cheryl is a specialist in those areas, as well as being part of the Property Tax – Residential team.

Other skills – Cheryl has a varied client portfolio from Joiners to Solicitors and Ministers of Religion.  She also deals with Trusts and Periods of Administration following the death of an individual. She provides tax advice to residential landlords, individuals leaving and returning to the UK, individuals selling a foreign residential property, individuals with Inheritance Tax and retirement planning issues amongst many other ad hoc queries.

Favourite piece of tax planning advice – Make sure you have a plan, speak to your accountant sooner rather than later.

Outside of Work – Cheryl is a keen traveller, a self-confessed foodie and enjoys hill walking, yoga and spending quality time with her husband and dog.
