Qualifications – Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) since 1997, Chartered Certified Accountant since 2016.

Experience – Scott manages our Amber Accounting Services division in our Forfar office, which means he has a wide range of clients from many different industry types, from farms to manufacturing.

Areas of taxpertise – He specialises in business support and is a champion of Cloud accounting systems, an increasingly prominent feature of the accounting sector.

Other skills – Scott and his team support businesses with all aspects of their day to day business, offering basic bookkeeping support for smaller businesses, right up to monthly management reporting functions for our larger clients. He is an experienced Sage user and is accredited with Quickbooks Online, Xero and Figured.

Favourite piece of tax planning advice – Making Tax Digital doesn’t have to be Making Tax Difficult.

Outside of Work – Scott acts as Treasurer for the 2nd Kirriemuir Scout Group and the charity ‘Cancer Research UK: Relay For Life Kirriermuir’. He is also a Guinness World Record holder –  participating in ‘The largest gathering of people dressed as Peter Pan’ in 2017.
