Strengthening Our Tax Team With Another Senior Appointment

We are delighted to welcome Ben Connolly who joined our Glenrothes office as a Tax Manager on Monday 7 November, having previously worked as a Client Tax Manager in another local firm. He is ACCA qualified with over 10 years’ experience in the profession and is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA), bringing the number of CTAs within EQ to eight.

We offer specialist tax and business advisory services to a wide range of businesses and are highly regarded for our trusted tax planning solutions. In Fife, our team is led by Tax Partners, Ross Oliphant and Gordon Buist, who between them have over 40 years of specialist tax experience.

Our Glenrothes office has grown significantly in recent years, with the demand for our specialist tax and advisory assignments contributing to a 12% increase in work done last year alone. The team have also invested heavily in their staff, increasing their headcount by nine over the same period.

Ben Connolly adds, “I am thrilled to join the team at EQ, they are well known in Scotland for their tax expertise, pro-active advice, and client relationships. They offer a clear path for progression and a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of tax advisory work, which is what attracted me to join the firm.
